Yoga at the Greenhouse!
The Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse committee in conjunction with Montefiore Health Systems, sponsored a free yoga class at Hudson Park on Wednesday, August 31st at 6:00pm. The event took place right before a New Rochelle Council of the Arts summer concert event.
This community event was for health, fitness, fun, and also to raise awareness and support for the restoration of the Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse.
Geoff Eddy, the featured yoga instructor has been teaching yoga for six years. He is a former elementary school teacher who grew up in Pelham, Geoff took his first yoga class in 2004 and very quickly immersed himself in the practice. In 2006 Geoff moved to Arizona to study yoga full time. Four years and several teacher trainings later, Geoff developed Inside Out Prison Project, bringing yoga to Arizona prisons. In 2013 Geoff moved back to southern Westchester to help care for his parents. He is thrilled to be giving back to the community he grew up in by teaching yoga.
